Bought this 3 yrs ago from abc warehouse and also the 5yr warranty. It stopped heating a technician replaced like four parts and started heating for him but when I dry the heat goes out. They sent another technician and was hearing for him but not as hot but said that was normal which I know it™€™s not! Anyways it continues to go out and my warranty won™€™t do anything because when the technician come has heat but it stops heating all the time for me! Very upset with ge and abc about my warranty

Grinding sound when in use

I purchased this dryer (with matching washer) from Best Buy. Best Buy does not allow reviews after a certain amount of time, which is ridiculous because a customer should have a good amount of time to use the product to see how they truly like it, so I am leaving my review on the manufacturer website. The first dryer had to be replaced because shortly after installation it started making a grinding sound. Techs could not figure out the cause so a replacement was delivered an installed. Well three months later and the grinding sound has started again. Due to two dryers making same sound, this is possibly a defect with this particular model. Also, the drying time is long.

I replace my 20year old GE FRONT LOAD with this top loading model. I have propane gas and the old model ran very hot. This new model keeps clothes perfectly dry and sometimes needs ™€œextra time™€. Love the steam options for dress shirts

Dryer was delivered box opened in driveway . Delivery people brought it in set-up. After they left I turn the dryer on and it made a terrible noise. Service man came and was unable to fix it. A new motor was installed but still make noise. Now waiting on a new belt and new drum. I think GE should replace the dryer and give me a new one. At this time don™€™t know if I will every purchase a GE product.

Bought the GE Profile set April 15TH (it was exactly 1 month old when it quick working properly). It was real loud from day one, now it sounds like it is going to bust through the ceiling in the garage! It no longer dry's clothes and ticks through cycles and quits. Service is saying 2 weeks before they can look at it. I want to take it back-if it cant last a month how many times with we have issues over the next 10 years? We loved the GE Profile set we had 15 years ago. Absolute terrible dryer. Update...6/4 We've waited 2 weeks for Bodewell to come service the NEW dryer. They called last minute as my wife was taking the morning hours off work to accommodate the service call. They had to cancel the appointment for this morning and it will be another week before they can come out. Dryer has now been broken for more days than its worked.

This dryer has had a squeak/squeel since day 1. Several attempts (6) have been made to remedy the noise without success. Parts are now on order for another attempt but at this point I am not holding out much hope. Will be looking at another brand. Not GE.

Not very happy with it. You pretty much have to have it on Jean mode or timed mode to get your clothes to dry. Normal mode does not dry a " normal" load of laundry. I would not recommend.

Faulty, technology forced where it™€™s not necessary

Steam and smarts is bad 4/5/2026

The dryer is not great. It has a steam function, which means this is the first time I™€™ve seen a water line to a dryer. It leaked all over our floor even if the steam function was not active. PC Richard replaced the unit. The second one(identical model) takes 3 try™€™s to dry single load of uniforms and cloths. I™€™m talking about maybe 12 articles of polyester, plastic type cloths. Not heavy wool or chick fabrics. Water wicking, modern clothing. I was a bit disappointed. I™€™m hoping it will Get better. We seem to have had better results with the ™€œsmart™€ function that™€™s supposed to detect moisture in h load set to off. But it still was not as dry as it should have been. Overall disappointed with this unit.

Absolute junk. Lay your clothes outside in the sun and they will dry quicker and more evenly. Bought this dryer Sept 28th 2025. On Jan 29th 2026 it is already broken. Dryer lights up and powers up but it just makes a clicking sound when you press start. Because of this we ended up going to a laundromat the night before our family vacation so we could finish cleaning our clothes for our trip. I will be reaching out to RC Willey to see if we can return this junk along with the washer. Thankfully we have a 5 year extended plan. Too bad the warranty does not cover burning 5 hours of PTO at work to be there for a technician.

This product does dry good but the lint catch is always super full and it contra acts against drying, the lint catch gets way to clogged although you clean it after each dry cycle all the debris that stay in the ducts cause a mess in the laundry room and also prevents it from good drying at times unit sucks in all reality

When first received my dryer made a "banging" noise. We contacted customer service from the appliance store that we bought our dryer and received great service. We then were informed to notify GE Appliances and again with their suggestions we were able to fix the problem (did not seemed to be leveled after first few loads of wash). We were given the option of having a tech come to our home and check the dryer...but we were able to identify and correct the source of the problem with the assistance of both the seller and GE. I bought the GE washer and dryer set (top™€loader washer + electric dryer) For the most part, they™€™re fairly quiet. The washer makes some noise during spin cycles (especially if the load is unbalanced) but not so loud that it™€™s disruptive. The dryer isn™€™t whisper™€quiet, but acceptable. The washer can handle large loads™€"comforters, towels, etc.™€"without feeling cramped. The extra space is helpful to reduce the number of laundry sessions. The dryer also has a roomy drum, so big loads fit and dry pretty evenly.

Dryer holds a good amount of clothes. Once I got used to the controls on the dryer, it is very easy to pair what is being dried and the amount of time given. This allows the dryer to use the amount of energy and gas necessary to dry clothes thoroughly. This dryer is very quiet which I like.. you hard know it is running. I am becoming very fond of this dryer. I've only had it about a month but the performance of the machine adds to the laundry dry experience. I also love the color.

Hard to tell when it hasn't worked since installed. First service said it was the gas flow safety valve and I replaced that to have them come back two weeks later and tell me it's a gas valve on the dryer and I have to wait another 2 weeks. Still not working
