Oven was installed but did not heat. It took one week to get a repair person to look at it and another two weeks to order and install replacement parts. Oven does now work well and looks very nice. It would have been nicer if it had worked when it arrived. Wish the timer alarm volume could be turned higher.

My mother has had this oven for less than 8 years and the stainless steel on the outside of this oven is starting to RUST! And It's always been a horrible oven. I only use it during the Holidays but if the oven is full of food it does not cook. Dishes that should take 45-60 mins to heat are usually in the oven for 2-3 hours! Maybe there's a setting we don't know about that would actually cook food but for a high-end oven to be Rusting......it's junk.

Found this Bosch oven to replace our old, dependable wall oven! The new oven is simple to use, and looks great in our kitchen. We opted for basic functions without lots of unnecessary options. We love it.
The only downside is how long it takes to preheat but this seems to be the norm in ovens today.

Using the timer is a total hassle. The button requires so much pressure and then it flies forward past where you want to set it. Then u spend time trying to go back to the minutes you want. Sorry, but if using a timer for oven or other cooking, this feature is a weak link in the product. Otherwise the oven does its job as intended.

This oven was bought as a replacement to an old GE profile wall oven, and it has been a wonderful experience using it. The purchase, installation, etc. was great, as it fit correctly in the space that the older oven occupied, and the SS finish makes it look great in the cabinet space, and the kitchen overall.
The functions are easy to use. Very easy to use. The touch options in the screen are easy to use, and very tactile. Love the theatrical touch to the oven light, as it goes out :)
Happy with the purchase, and hope it lasts a long time...

Great oven, though I've not had the opportunity to use the convection aspect of it yet. My one disappointment is that the pre-heat takes between 15 to 20 minutes. My old oven took 5 to 7 minutes.

I have had this unit for exactly 1 year, in the past year it's locked us out, got stuck on self cleaning mode, and refuses to pre-heat about 50% of the time. Bosch sent a certified tech out to fix, after waiting 5 weeks for parts they finally fixed it, it worked for 6 weeks and started doing the same thing again. We are currently without a working oven during the holidays and we are in the waiting for parts stage again. Will never buy from this company again.

It looks nice and is nice and simple but there are certainly a few issues.
The timer setting interface is very annoying because you have to press the plus button many times slowly to get to the right amount of time and if you press it too fast it just keeps going up to a higher number. when I try to go back down it does the same thing.
Also, the knobs are extremely easy to be moved around and many times while baking someone (maybe me) has leaned near the oven and the dials turn. this can make it so the temperature or the cooking mode changes which can easily mess up a dish. this has happened quite a bit. in addition, the heating in the oven is not consistent so that certain racks cook much faster than others. Also, you can only change the oven temperature in 25 degree increments which to some is an issue.
Complaints aside, it has a good amount of cook options.

Unhappy with the fact it is not working unsure if it is actaully any good. I purchased this for my kitchen remodel. It did not work out of the box, had to call and get service (that part went well). Service person came and said it was the cooling fan, that the part should only take a few days, that was over 3 weeks ago and still no part, still cannot use the oven because it over heats and shuts off. Ordered it in April, recieved it in July installed in August, never used. At this rate my warranty will be out before I get to properly use it.

My dissatisfaction began when I used the oven for the first time.
The oven takes WAY too long to heat up. This oven takes twice as long to heat up as my previous GE Monogram.
Secondly, As the oven is preheating, the display doesnt show the temperature during the preheating, thus not goiving a clue how close it is getting to temperature..
Thirdly, The timer would be a welcome feature if it make a noise when the time is up. The timer blinks, but it is of no use unless you are standing in front of the oven looking at it.

This oven is very close to perfect. It heats quickly to exact temps and is easy to clean. My only complaint is with the timer. It is so quiet, it cannot be heard. I have to use another kitchen timer when timing . Otherwise, it looks great, cooks great, I love my oven!

Unsatisfied with the fact that I can't lock the oven to prevent accidental injury to children. My granddaughters love to turn the knobs, as it is installed under counter. Today, my grandaughter created an error code that locked the oven. Who knew? E107

I actually loved my Jenn-Air oven but it was time to replace it.I had no idea how well the Bosch would perform. Cooking time is shorter, temps can be lower, all due to perfect calibration of the convection.

I bought this oven in June 2019 and it takes forever to get to temperature and sometimes apparently never does. I have had service providers come multiple times. The first time, the service technician was advised to turn the circuit breaker off and on and when he tested the unit it heated more quickly. The next technician advised replacing the main circuit board and that repair took place today, Today's service technician got the oven to reach 350 in 19 minutes (so far, so good) but then raised the temp from 350 to 400 and the oven stayed in preheat for more than another hour; never signaling that it had reached the set temperature. <sigh> Something is very wrong when an oven does not elevate 50 degrees in temp in over an hour. I ultimately waited 90 minutes without any signal that the oven reached 400. No sound and the oven continuously reported preheat. I turned the oven off in frustration. The service provider himself described the performance as unacceptable. He had to leave for other appointments--having spent too much of his workday waiting for this unit to reach temp.
On the days that I manage to get it to the set temp that I need, it cooks fine. But I feel particularly foolish to spend 90 minutes trying to get the oven to preheat and then popping in a quick pizza for 15 minutes.
I tried Bosch Customer Serive with little help.
Previous calls to engineering by one service technician seemed to suggest that waiting 30-35 minutes to preheat is not considered problematic by Bosch. (Not sure what they think about more than 90 minutes without the appliance reporting that it has reached the set temp 50 degrees higher than the prior set point.). The service technician explained that this unit uses a preheating mode that cycles among the three heating elements --bake, broil and convection--to arrive at the set temp and assure that the oven is evenly and fully heated. So, that might explain a slightly longer preheat time. But my experience has been unsatisfactory. I saw nothing in the literature about L-O-N-G preheating times.
I would be very cautious before purchasing this oven. Like most products manufactured on assembly lines, when one person has a problem that is unrecognized by the manufacturer, others are likely to as well. I hope that Bosch takes some interest in learning about this problem and I also pray the problem does not involve an electrical hazard.

I like how my dishes cook in this oven. I've noticed that I don't have to cook as long as I had to with old oven. I like the options, still trying to figure out the bread proofing. The ONLY thing I dislike is how difficult it is to use the timer.

Our self-cleaning convection oven is everything and more than we expected. The exterior stainless finish doesn't show fingerprints and cleans easily. The knobs closely resemble out Thermador range. The 500 series oven is easy to use and intuitive.
